Words by Carley

I’m a people pleaser so the idea of saying “no” to just about anything is difficult or, in most cases, nearly impossible for me.

It really doesn’t matter how many times I read that one of the most important habits of millionaires and billionaires is learning how to say “no” to just about everything. Tim Ferriss even wrote 5 Simple Strategies For Getting Clarity and Saying “No” back in 2017. I’ve read his post many times, all to no avail.

But saying “yes” to everything does have benefits.

#1 I find myself in strange situations which leads to better overall awareness.

#2 Attending one of the many events that I really didn’t want to leads to conversations I wouldn’t have had.

#3 People confide curious things about themselves which teaches me a new or odd perspective of life.

#4 A wealth of viewpoints is made available to me, all for the cost of quietly listening.

These benefits help me to improve my life and make for great topics when writing my books.
